TAKAGI LABOATORY studies geometric, electronic, magnetic, optical and catalytic properties of low-dimensional materials at surfaces from a single atom/molecule to the nano-structured assemblies and two-dimensional atom-layerd materials by using scanning tunneling microscopy and spectroscopy (STM/STS) as well as first princiles density functional theory calculations.

We are interestied in the following subjects:

・Kondo physics from a single impurity to Kondo lattice

・Low-dimensional Materials hosting nontrivial topologilcal quasiparticles

・Single molecule physics & chemistry at surfaces

・Fabrications and functionalities of molecular self-assembled networks

We hope that you join our laboratory and enjoy exlproing exotic NanoWorld.
